It's a beautiful day to be so in love
And the only thing missing is you But fresh breezes blow and the blue sky above Tells me that there's plenty to do So I walk in the sun and head for the river Where moorhens and coots rush hither and thither And ducks keep a dabbling and making a fuss And swans swim serenely saying 'hey look at us' And dragonflies skim and flirt with disaster On shimmering wings which beat ever faster And young courting couples walk by hand in hand Not knowing their love is writ only in sand As down from the sky floats a single white dove Which pauses to preen and to bill and to coo. It's a beautiful day to be so in love And the only thing missing..... is you |
