I sent my love some poetry
A deep searching of my heart She filed it under "Suitors Must try to keep apart" I sent my love some flowers To express my inner stress She stuffed them in a bottle Where they died in a week or less I sent my love some chocolates To show how much I cared She ate them absentmindedly Not caring how I fared I sent my love a valentine With cupids edged in satin Apathetically she poked the fire And carefully threw that in
I sent my love my bleeding heart
To show her where its at She sighed and shrugged dismissively And fed it to her cat |
