A year from now I'll be in Bloem But oh the sights I'll've seen The maidens Bower at Dunstable A place fit for a queen The river Thames at Maidenhead (A one trackmind? What me?) And a thousand other sights which lead To memories of thee So when I return again to Bloem How happy I will be For though the world's a wondrous place With all its sights to see There's nowhere else I see your face So nowhere can compete There's no place as fair as Bloemfontein With my lady Angelique |
