Poems come straight from the head
But what fun it would be if instead
Of all the time spent hunting a rhyme
I could entice my young lady to bed

Poems come straight from the heart
I'm not quite sure how they start
But when all's said and done, they're purely for fun
And in seduction they sure play their part

Poems come straight from the soul
Fulfilling an important role
Exceedingly odd, like a hot line from god
Making two half people whole
